Adams v. Gunter is a 1970 decision of the Florida Supreme Court. In it, the court struck down as unconstitutional an initiative that would have amended the Florida Constitution to change the Florida State Legislature to a unicameral form of legislature. The court's grounds for its decision was that the initiative was a "revision" to the constitution, and was thus too far-reaching and transformative to be enacted as a mere amendment to the constitution.[1]

The Adams decision has been cited in some of the legal filings regarding California Proposition 8 (2008) as supportive of the idea that Proposition 8 is a revision, not an amendment.
