The Alabama Chilton County Property Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 12, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that Chilton County could levy a property tax that would be used to support fire, medical and emergency services.[1]
