Alabama Special County School District Tax, Amendment 32 and 33 (1965)

The Alabama Special County School District Tax, Amendment 32 and 33, also known as Amendment 32 and 33, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 30, 1965, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that Talladega County would be authorized to levy and collect a special school district tax of 30 cents on each $100 of taxable property. The revenue from the tax would be used to fund public schools. The tax would not be levied for more than 20 years. The above must be first approved by a majority of electors.[1]
