Alberta Scarfaro was a 2013 candidate for the Lehigh County Magisterial District in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.[1]

2013 election

Scarfaro ran for election to the Lehigh County Magisterial District, District 31-1-07. She faced incumbent Judge Robert C. Halal in the May 21st primary but lost both the Republican and Democratic primaries.[2][1][3]

Education

Alberta earned her associate degree in paralegal studies from Lehigh Carbon Community College and her bachelor of political science and masters of public administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.[4]

Approach to the law

Scarfaro's judicial philosophy from her campaign website:

I will endeavored to decide each case on the merits using the following principles:
(1) To judge fairly and respectfully, without bias for or against any person or organization;
(2) To thoroughly research matters and to decide them as expeditiously as possible;
(3) To interpret and apply the law accurately, respecting the precedent established in case law and the intent of the Legislature in statutes;
(4) To try not to lose sight of good old common sense and real world concerns.[5][6]
