Primary: He was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 5.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Hector D. Gutierrez, Jose Salinas, Yu-Hsien Huang DelRio, Sergio Cheko Lujan, Eduardo Jamie, Vicky D. Cantu, and Janie Coss Martinez.
