Allen Garbrecht
Allen L. Garbrecht was a chief judge for the 37th Circuit Court in Calhoun County, Michigan. He began serving on the court in 1992 and was appointed chief judge in 2001.[1][2][3] Garbrecht retired on June 1, 2013.[4]
Education
Garbrecht received his B.A. degree from Hope College in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the University of Toledo in 1976.[1]
Career
Garbrecht began his career in 1976 as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Calhoun County. In 1978, he became a private practice attorney. He worked in that capacity until he was elected to the 10th District Court in November of 1982 (effective in 1983). He was then elected to the circuit court in 1992 and retired on June 1, 2013.[1]
2010 election

Garbrecht was re-elected (along with Stephen B. Miller) in the general election on November 2, 2010. He received 49.36 percent of the vote.[2]
