Alta Jean Brady was a Position 1 judge for the 11th Judicial District in Deschutes County, Oregon.[1] She was appointed by Gov. Barbara Roberts (D) in 1994 and elected to her first full term in November 1994. Brady retired from the bench on December 31, 2017.[2]

Brady previously served as a municipal judge for the city of Bend.[1]

Brady earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Washington and a J.D. from the Willamette University College of Law. Her professional experience included work as a prosecutor for Deschutes County and Multnomah County and as an attorney in private practice.[1]
