I am a Wife, Mother of three children, Grandmother, as well as a entrepreneur, and volunteer in my community. I am a Mayoral candidate who prioritizes People over politics. I am committed to creating a strong community by focusing on issues that matter deeply, such as supporting our seniors, improving the education system, and ensuring the wellbeing of staff. I will also emphasize financial stability, which is critical for the long-term success and growth of Broadview. I am grounded in values and dedicated to practical, people-centered solutions. I am coming in fresh and free from the usual party politics, this will allow me to focus on what truly matters to the community.

  • People over Politics this includes providing and providing for our Senior community.
  • Education is the key to the success of the children and our Villages Future.
  • Financial Literacy & Educating/Communicating with Residents

The person I looked up to the most was my Mother, she was strong, honest, hard-working, and committed to me having a balanced life, home cooked dinner nightly, her love, support, and work ethic. My mother showed me that hard-work would always pay-off in the end how to be the best person no matter what, and where I grow up, she taught me how to always be an individual,

Qualities that I possess that make me a successful officeholder include but are not limited to: Making everyone's day as fantastic as mine, saying hello, I am empathetic to others, I have never met a stranger in my life, the need to take care of everyone's needs before my own.

Our greatest challenges over the next decade include regaining the trust the community, regain a checks and balances system for the residents, overcome economic stagnation, and overcome ineffective public service that includes healthcare, education, and transportation.

Characteristics or Principles most important for an elected official starts with Integrity, being a trustworthy leader, honest, and ethical, making decisions on what's best for the community rather than personal gain or political advantage. Accountability, being willing to take responsibility for my actions, regularly communicating why. Empathy having the ability to listen, have compassion, care, and understand the needs and concerns of the community in all groups including low income.

Core responsibilities for the Mayor include combining leadership, ensuring the well-being of the community. A Mayor should balance the long term from the immediate vision of the town. Promote policy that improve the quality of life for the residents, work to bring in resources, and ensure inclusivity. Having these values should shape a positive and improved community.

Land/Zoning, Education, Housing & Development, Transportation, Community Engagement & Participation.

My views on Financial Transparency and Government accountability include having information available to the residents, monthly/annual financial reporting, payables/receivables, and communicating with the residents before planning and implementing.

My very first job was a local program that is still offered in my community, PLCCA I worked for the Maywood Park District, cleaning, playing with the children, we provided ideas for programs & teen parties. PLCCA allowed us to have a GREAT SUMMER and learn how to save money.

The mayor should be the heart and soul of the Village with Vision. The mayor should be the leader and hold responsibility for guiding the community through challenges and growth.

I love my village because I was raised here, it was the smallest of the towns in the area, but led in education, beauty, and substance: Homes, Streets, Park District, and Community.

The song that is stuck in my head is Optimistic - Sounds of Blackness. I play this song for my son every morning, it is motivational, strong, and vibrant. I want him know he can accomplish anything.

Why did the math book look sad? Because it had too many problems!

The mayors relationship to law enforcement should include regular meetings to discuss crime trends. collaborating on setting priorities, improved community policing plans, allocating the appropriate funding for services, equipment, technology, and raises. Encourage the police to build relationships in the community. Balanced police that allow people to exercise their constitutional rights, using less force and aggression. Build trust, support, and address police mental health and wellness to reduce burnout and any aggression issues. Support diversity, equity, and inclusion amongst the police force that include training.
