Appointees chosen for vacancies on Utah's 3rd and 8th District Courts

Utah: On Monday, Governor Gary Herbert announced his choices to fill two vacancies on the Utah District Courts.
Katherine Bernards-Goodman is his nominee to join the Third Judicial District, the seat of Stephen Roth. Bernards-Goodman is an assistant division chief in the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.
Hebert also nominated Clark McClellan to fill the vacancy on the Utah Eighth Judicial District. McClellan is the city attorney for Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah. He would replace retiring Judge A. Lynn Payne.
Both nominees will have to be confirmed by the Utah Senate before taking office.[1]
