Are Racinos in Arizona's future?

PHOENIX, Arizona. Andy Tobin, a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives, is urging his fellow state legislators to consider allowing "racetrack casinos" or "racinos" in the state as a way of making up for tax revenues that are fast declining in the state's economic recession.[1]
Tobin says that allowing racinos in Arizona might be a way to mend the state's $3 billion budget deficit without having to raise taxes. Gov. Jan Brewer has called for a temporary tax hike.
Arizona voters rejected racinos in 2002.
