The Buffalo and Fort Erie Bridge Compact is an interstate compact between New York and Canada. It established an authority to acquire the assets and property of the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Company. This authority, the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority, oversees the Peace Bridge, which spans the Niagara River to connect Fort Erie, Ontario, to Buffalo, New York.[1]
