Charles Kahn nominated for federal magistrate position in Florida
February 10, 2011
Florida: Current Florida First District Court of Appeal judge Charles Kahn has been nominated to serve the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida as a federal magistrate judge. Currently, the nomination is being screened by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which means that it has not been officially announced. If Kahn joins the court, he will succeed Gordon M. Davis on the bench.[1]
Kahn was just retained to his current position for a new six-year term in the November 2, 2010 General Election. With that, his current term on the court expires in 2017.[2] He has been an appellate court judge since 1991.[3]
