Colorado: On Thursday, Governor John Hickenlooper announced the appointment of Cheryl Rowles-Stokes to the Arapahoe County Court. Most recently, Rowles-Stokes was the Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial District. She will succeeed Ethan D. Feldman on the court.[1]

After a new judge is appointed in Colorado, she or he stands for retention in the next general election more than two years following appointment. This means that it will be necessary for Rowles-Stokes to face a vote in the 2014 election.
