Cynthia A. Pivacek
Cynthia A. Pivacek is a former Collier County judge of the 20th judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was appointed by former Governor Lawton Chiles, effective May 1998.[1][2] Pivacek retired from the court on March 31, 2016.[3]
Education
Pivacek received her B.A. from the University of Florida in 1976 and her J.D. from the University of Florida School of Law in 1978.[4]
Career
Pivacek began her career in 1976 as a law clerk and intern for the State Attorney's Office. After graduating law school in 1978, she became an assistant state attorney in the 8th Circuit (Gainesville). She moved to the 20th Circuit (Naples) in 1986. In 1989, she became a judge of the Collier County Court. She was then appointed to the circuit court in 1998.[4]
2012 election

Pivacek was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5]
