Daniel J. Kaup
Daniel J. Kaup is a former judge for the Colorado 8th Judicial District Court. He was appointed to this position in October of 2001.[1] He was retained in 2010 to a six-year term.[2][3] Kaup retired from the court on January 10, 2017.[4]
Education
Kaup graduated from Colorado State University in 1973 and received his J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1976.[1]
Career
Kaup worked as a private practice lawyer around Walden, Colorado for 23 years prior to his judicial appointment in 2001. He also served part-time appointments as deputy district attorney, county attorney and town attorney.[1]
2010 elections
Kaup was retained with 68.16 percent of the vote in 2010. [3][5]
