Candidate Connection

Dave Strider participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on July 26, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Dave Strider's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1. Health care becomes, Expanded Medicare with no co-payments, premiums, or pre-existing conditions. The Social Security Card, your Health Care enrollment passport. Health care is a universal right to everyone regardless of ability to pay. Also, included is the needs of those injured on the job injuries. No more shifting costs or responsibilities. Injured workers should never feel a loss of dignity, belonging to their community or strain to the family. Veterans Administration, I will fight against privation, I receive the very best health care from the VA. When compared to the world’s single payer the VA ranks Number 1, in the world.
2.Water is Life. Move away from carbon-based fuels, no fracking. Clean water and air, basic human rights. Water, strategic asset required, for a viable nation. Taxes do not fund Federal Spending! Spending on public programs is not debt; it is an investment in people, our nation, and our future. We are a Republic! Not an empire.
3. ALTERNATIVE FUEL SOURCES-big oil I am not against big oil it is a finite resource and it needs to be protected as a finite resource. The technology for alternative fuel sources has grown exponentially in the past 10 years we need to tap in to that free energy. Yes there is a cost in getting that energy to the end user which also is where the grid begins with the end user promoting more installation of solar panels wind generators for individual housing not the megaliths that we see on the open plains tidally energy geothermal are others that we can tap into. FOSSIL FUELS AND FRACKING-studies have shown that earthquakes are increasing in magnitude as far as numbers reported in areas where fracking is off the chart. It is a worldwide epidemic that was promoted by the Clinton State Department and it needs to stop. It is polluting our waterways there is little to no safety measures involved the EPA has been hindered crippled by the new administration of Donald Trump[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Environment, Single Payer Medicare, Veterans Administration #1 Single payer in the world, Military Industrial Complex, Judicial Reform, Full Job Guarantee, Education, Immigration/Refugee Crisis at our southern border, Infrastructure which includes restoring our damaged aquifers. just for starts.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
