David C. Cates

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 44.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Stephen P. Harris and Chad Miner.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Cates received a B.S. from Purdue University and a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.[4]
Career
Cates was a partner at the law firm Green, Cates, and Grossnickle, LLP and a registered mediator. He has served as judge pro tempore in Kosciusko County courts.[4]
