Dawn Fisher was the Position 7 representative on the Galena Park Independent School District school board in Texas. Fisher was first elected in 2002 and she served on the board until she passed away on March 3, 2019.[1]

Fisher was a legal assistant at the Law Office of Dexter Joyner. She had two children.[2]

Three seats on the Galena Park Independent School District school board were scheduled for general election on May 6, 2017. However, the election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Positions 5, 6, and 7 incumbents Wilfred J. Broussard, Jr., Minnie Rivera, and Dawn Fisher were automatically re-elected.[3]

Results

Fisher was automatically re-elected.

Funding

No school board candidate in this race had filed a campaign finance report with the Harris County Department of Education as of April 17, 2017.[4]
