Dennis S. Helmick was a judge on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas in Cincinnati, Ohio. His term would have expired on March 31, 2013, but retired early on December 31, 2012. He was replaced by Leslie Ghiz, who won his seat in the November 2012 election, but was appointed to it upon Helmick's early retirement.[1]
2012 election
Helmick was one of two republicans who planned to compete against Nadine Allen and Mark B. Weisser in the general election on November 6, 2012. However, in June he withdrew from the race, citing health reasons.[2][3]
