Henderson's Facebook page highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]
| “ | I am running for state office because I believe our elected officials should better represent our interests and be more willing to communicate with us. I will not slam the door on anyone who has a different opinion or perspective than my own. Some of the best solutions in life and business come from careful consideration of input from people with vastly different backgrounds and ideals. I will answer my phone and respond to all my emails and letters. I will do my best to let everyone know what is truly happening in Kansas and how it might affect each of us.
