Washington, D.C.: Two judges have been appointed to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and three to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. This leaves only one vacancy remaining on each of the courts.[1]
Corinne Beckwith and Catherine Easterly were confirmed to the Court of Appeals. Beckwith was nominated by Barack Obama the Spring of 2011[2] and Easterly was nominated in August of 2011.[3] They were both vetted by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs in September and confirmed to the court in November.[4]
Peter Krauthamer, John McCabe, and Danya Dayson were all confirmed to the Superior Court. The three were nominated by President Obama in July[5] and appeared before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs in November.[6]
