A property tax renewal to fund zoo services and facilities was on the ballot for voters in Ohio on May 8, 2018. It was approved.

A yes vote was a vote in favor of renewing for five years a property tax at the rate of .46 mill per dollar ($0.046 per $100 of assessed property value) to fund zoo services and facilities.
A no vote was a vote against renewing for five years a property tax at the rate of .46 mill per dollar ($0.046 per $100 of assessed property value) to fund zoo services and facilities.

At the time the Hamilton County Commissioners placed the measure on the ballot, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden received 17 percent of its funds from the property tax. While zoo administrators requested a tax increase for the May 2018 ballot, the county board of commissioners decided to present the tax renewal without an increase. The property tax had been levied at the proposed rate for 10 years.[1]
