James E. Rulli was a judge for the Clark County Superior Court in Clark County, Washington. He served on this court from 1997 to 2019. He retired on April 30, 2019.[1][2] Rulli was presiding judge for the court from April 1, 2015, to December 2017.[3][2]

Education

Rulli received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and his J.D. from the Lewis and Clark Law School.[4]

Career

Prior to his judicial career, Rulli served as a court commissioner from 1992 to 1995.[1]

Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent James Rulli ran unopposed in the Clark Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 7.[5]
