Janet Ballard Frazier was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Lexington One School Board in South Carolina. She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014. She also ran unsuccessfully for the board in 2012.

The November 4, 2014, general election in Lexington School District One featured three seats up for election. Incumbents Sandra Backman, Debbie Knight and Brad Pitts triumphed over challengers Rich Bolen and Janet Ballard Frazier for the at-large seats.

Funding

Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report is due after the campaign has closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[1]
