Janice M. Rosa was a justice of the Erie County Supreme Court in the 8th Judicial District of New York. She was elected to this position in 2003 and retired in January 2013.[1][2]

Education

Rosa received her B.A. degree from the University of Rochester in 1972 and her J.D. degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Law in 1975.[1]

Career

Rosa began his career in 1975 as a private practice lawyer. She worked in this position through 1991. She then worked as a court attorney for the Trial Part of the Erie County Family Court through 1993. In 1983, she also served as a spring lecturer in "Equitable Distribution" for the SUNY at Buffalo School of Law. Rosa was elected a judge of the Erie County Family Court in 1994 and then became a Supreme Court Justice in 2003.[1]
