Jim Detzel is an at-large representative on the Northwest Local School District Board of Education. He was first elected in 2007. Detzel sought another term in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1] Jim Detzel won the general election on November 3, 2015.

Detzel is the owner of Detzel Insurance Agency. He serves as the Northwest Local representative on the Butler Tech board. He also coaches cross-country and track teams in the district.[2]

Incumbent Jim Detzel won re-election to his seat on the board. Bob Engel defeated incumbent Dan Unger for the other seat on the ballot. Other candidates that ran for the two seats included Dexter Carpenter, Elaine Gauck, Ryan Manring and Bev Spellmeyer.[3][4][5]
