Joel H. Brown was a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He also served in the Family Division and the Unified Family Court/Complex Litigation Division. He joined the court in 1994 and he became chief judge on July 1, 2009. Brown retired from the court in 2013.[1][2][3]

Education

Brown received his B.S. degree from the University of Florida in 1967 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1969 to 1975.[4]

Career

Brown worked as a civil trial attorney from 1971 to 1990 and was a partner of the law firm of Brown & Corirossi. He joined the Dade County Court in 1990 and the circuit court in 1994.[2][4]

2012 election

Brown was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[6]
