John P. Morrissey was the chief judge of the District Court of Maryland. From January 6, 2006 until he became the chief judge in June 2014, Morrissey served as an associate judge for the Fifth District Court in Prince George's County, Maryland.[1] His term expired in 2016.[2][3] Morrissey succeeded Judge Ben C. Clyburn as the chief judge for the District Court of Maryland upon Judge Clyburn's retirement from the court on May 31, 2014.[4]

Education

Morrissey received his undergraduate degree in business administration from James Madison University in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1989.[2]
