Kurtis G. Fouts was a judge for the Carroll County Superior Court in Indiana. He was appointed to this position by Governor Mitch Daniels in 2010 to replace retiring Judge Jeffrey R. Smith.[1] Fouts resigned on July 31, 2020.[2]

Fouts ran for election to the Carroll County Superior Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3][4] 

Education

Fouts received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and later earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois.[1]

Career

Before his appointment to the bench, Fouts was the attorney for the Carroll County Commissioners and the city of Delphi. He has also served as a public defender in White, Carroll, and Tippecanoe Counties, and has been an attorney in private practice. He also worked as chief deputy prosecutor in Carroll County.[1]
