Kurtis I. Loy is a judge for the Eleventh Judicial District in Kansas. He was appointed to the bench on September 19, 2013, by Governor Sam Brownback.[1] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[2]

Loy was retained to District 11 with 66.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]
Education
Loy earned his undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University. He was awarded a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law.[3]
Career
Before being appointed to the district court, Loy was a partner at the law firm of Loy & Sagehorn, LLC in Pittsburg. He practiced in several legal areas, including contracts, civil litigation, family law, probate and tax law. He also conducted mediation in civil litigation and child custody matters.[3]
