Laura J. Bridges
Laura J. Bridges was a senior resident superior court judge for the 29A Judicial District of the Eighth Division of the Superior Court, serving McDowell and Rutherford counties in North Carolina. She joined the court in 2004 and retired on December 31, 2012.[1][2]
Education
Bridges received her undergraduate degree in human services from Isothermal Community College and Gardner-Webb University and her J.D. from the Campbell University Law School.[3]
Career
Before her election to the court, Bridges worked as an attorney at the Law Office of Robert Wolf and at her own solo practice. She became the county attorney in 1997 and was elected as a district court judge for the 29A Judicial District in 1998. She served as a district court judge until her election to the superior court in 2004.[3]
