Missouri 38th Judicial Circuit Court

Laura Johnson is the presiding judge of the 38th Judicial Circuit Court in Missouri. She was elected on November 4, 2014, to finish the term of the late Mark Orr, ending on December 31, 2018.[1] After the death of Judge Mark Orr, she was nominated by the Republican Central Committee to be the Republican candidate for circuit judge in the November special election.[2]

Education

Johnson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1985 and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1988.[3]

Career

Johnson is an associate at Ellis, Ellis, Hammons & Johnson, P.C. Prior to becoming an attorney, Johnson clerked for Judge Elmo B. Hunter of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.[3][1]
