The Louisiana Bail Amendment, also known as Amendment 46, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed amendments related to excessive bail. It also proposed to authorize bail for persons convicted of some noncapital felonies until the imposition of sentence or after sentencing pending appeal.[1]
