The Louisiana Lafayette Parish Amendment, also known as Amendment 27, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to create a charter commission and plans for the governance of Lafayette Parish.[1]
