The November 4, 2014, general election in Beaufort County School District featured seven seats up for election. Incumbents in Districts 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 10- Bill Evans, Michael Rivers, Geri Kinton, Evva Anderson, Mary Cordray and Bill Payne-won re-election unopposed. No candidate filed for the District 4 seat occupied by Jim Beckert. Joseph Dunkle won the District 4 seat as a write-in candidate.[1]

Funding
Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report was due after the campaign closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[2]
