The Maine Capital Improvements Bond Issue, also known as Referendum Question No. 8, was on the September 12, 1967 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have issued $16,710,000 in bonds for capital improvements, construction, renovations, repairs, equipment and furnishings.[2]

REFERENDUM QUESTION NO. 8

"Shall a bond issue be ratified for the purposes set forth in 'An Act to Authorize Bond Issue in the Amount of $16,710,000 for Capital Improvements, Construction, Renovations, Repairs, Equipment and Furnishings,' passed by the 103rd Legislature?" [3]
