  • Ensuring that parents have a voice and keeping the avenues of communication open to allow for increased parent engagement
  • I am a strong believer in maintaining transparency and accountability in any public agency and that is what I would pledge to do as school board member.
  • Ensuring equity and advancement of children with disabilities, socioeconomically disadvantaged children and minorities
Marianne has always wanted to give back to the community and now that her children are older, she has the opportunity. She has two children with disabilities so her passion is special education and equity for all children. The motivating factor for running for school board was to bring a voice to special education families after she heard the plights of countless parents whose children are struggling within DMUSD's special education.
