Marisa Chun is a judge of the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. She assumed office in 2021. Her current term ends on January 8, 2029.
Chun won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) appointed Chun to the court on July 9, 2021, to replace Edward A. Torpoco. Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Chun's appointment identified her as a Democrat.[1]
