Mark Kruse

Mark Kruse was a district court judge of District 8B of Iowa. He was appointed to that position by Gov. Terry E. Branstad on December 18, 2015, to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Cynthia Danielson.[1] Kruse retired from the court on February 14, 2022.[2]
Prior to his appointment as district judge, Kruse served as an associate judge for the District 8B court. He was appointed to that position in February 1997.[3]
Education
Kruse was born in Little Rock, Iowa. He received his bachelor's degree from Morningside College in 1980 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1983.[3]
Career
Kruse worked as an assistant Wapello County attorney and an Appanoose County attorney prior to his judicial appointment in 1997. He also worked, from 1984 to 1987, with Child Support Recovery.[3]
2012 election
Kruse was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 76.31% of the vote.[4][5]
