Martin E. Coady was the Division F judge of the 22nd Judicial District in Louisiana from 1991 to 2019. He was elected to this position on October 6, 1990, and was re-elected without opposition in 1996, 2002, 2008, and 2014.[1][2][3][4][5] Coady retired at the end of 2019.[6]

Education

Coady received his B.S. from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1971 and his J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law. in 1974.[2]

Career

Coady began his career in 1974 as an attorney practicing with the law firm of Berrigan, Strain & Coady. He worked there until 1978. In 1980, he joined the firm of Fritchie, Cochran, Caire and Coady, where he worked until his judicial election in 1990. He also taught at Delgado Community College from 1980 to 1981. From 1997 to 2000, he was the chief judge of the 22nd Judicial District Court.[2]
