Michael J. McCarthy was a magistrate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court on November 3, 2003.[1]

Education

McCarthy received his undergraduate degree in business administration from The Citadel in 1964 and his J.D. from The American University Washington College of Law in 1971.[1]

Military service

McCarthy was in the United States Air Force and spent four years as an intelligence officer.[1]

Career

Prior to joining the court, McCarthy practiced with the firm he helped establish, McCarthy & Sullivan.[1]
