Michelle K. Percy is a judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in South Dakota. She was elected in November 2014, effective January 2015, for a term that expires in 2022.[1]
Education
Percy received her undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University in 1990. She went on to earn a J.D. from the University of South Dakota in 1994.[2]
Career
Percy was a magistrate judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit before her election as a circuit judge. She held that seat from 2006 to 2014. Prior to taking the bench as a magistrate, Percy was a partner at the firm Fuller, Tellinghuisen, Gordon and Eckrich. She previously served as a state attorney for Lawrence County and a law clerk for the Seventh Judicial Circuit.[2][3]
