Minge announces retirement from Minnesota Court of Appeals, judge hunt ensues

Minnesota: Judge David Minge will retire from the Minnesota Court of Appeals on March 31, 2012. He is 69 years old and has served on the Court of Appeals since 2002. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat, representing the 2nd District from 1993 to 2001.[1]
The Governor's office is now looking for Judge Minge's successor to preside over the 2nd Congressional District. The Commission on Judicial Selection, after reviewing the applicants, will make their suggestions to Gov. Dayton, who will make the appointment. The application deadline is Feb. 20.[2]
