Nancy F. Alley was a Seminole County judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was elected on September 3, 1996, and took office the following January. In 2008, she was re-elected to a term that ended on January 5, 2015. She retired at the expiration of her term.[1][2][3]

Education

Alley received her B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi in 1974 and her J.D. degree from the Villanova School of Law in 1983.[1]

Career

Alley began her career in 1983 as a private practice lawyer. In 1987 and 1988, she also worked as a general master. She left private practice to join the Mississippi Department of Welfare in 1988. Later that year, she moved to the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Office of the General Counsel. She then joined the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service in 1991. She left that position in 1994 and returned to private practice until she joined the circuit court in early 1997.[1]
