Haupt ran for election to the Fifth District Court of Appeals.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 55.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Earle E. Wise, Jr.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 44.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Craig Baldwin. [1][2] 

Education

Haupt received her undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and her J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.[3]

Career

Since 2003, Haupt has served as a magistrate for the Stark County Court of Common Pleas. She also previously served as an assistant public defender.[3]
