The New York State Liability of Construction of Buildings at Universities, Amendment 6, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 6, was on the ballot in New York on November 7, 1961, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure would have authorized state liability for no more than $500 million for the "construction of buildings and other improvements at institutions of higher education."[1]
