Alabama 10th Judicial Circuit


Nicole Gordon Still was a civil division judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] She has served on this court from June of 2009 until her retirement in 2012.[2][3]

Though Still was defeated in the primary runoff in 2010, Seven months later, she was reappointed by Governor Bob Riley to finish the term of retired G. William Noble.[4]

Education

Judge Still received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in 1993 and her law degree from the University of Alabama in 1997.[2]

Career

Prior to her appointment to the Circuit Court, Judge Still worked for the law firm Gordon, Dana, Still, Knight and Gilmore in Birmingham.[2]

2010 election

Still ran for re-election this year but was defeated by Kenya Lavender Marshall in the runoff on July 13, since no one received more than 50% in the Democratic primary.[5]
