The North Dakota Health Care Amendment did not make the November 2012 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment.
The measure would have allowed residents to choose their health care insurance plans.[1]

According to the North Dakota Constitution an amendment proposed by either the House or the Senate required only majority approval.
As of March 30, 2011 the measure failed to be adopted by either house.[2]
