Obama names seven to U.S. District Courts

Washington, D.C.: President Barack Obama nominated seven judges to U.S. District Courts across the nation:
- John A. Ross, of Missouri's 21st Judicial Circuit Court, to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri
- Federal magistrates Claire Cecchi and Esther Salas to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey
- Mark Raymond Hornak, a private practice lawyer, to the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania
- Robert David Mariani, a private practice lawyer, to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania
- Arenda L. Wright Allen, a supervisory assistant federal public defender, to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia
- Michael Urbanski, a federal magistrate judge, to the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia
The President praised these judges, saying, "They all have long and distinguished records of service, and I am pleased to nominate them to continue serving the American people on the District Court bench.”[1]
