Pamela Lightvoet is a judge for the 9th Circuit Court (Trial Division) in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. She was elected to this position on November 7, 2006 and her term expired on January 1, 2019.[1][2] She has served as Chief Judge Pro Tempore since 2010.[3]
Education
Lightvoet received her B.A. degree from Purdue University in 1989 and her J.D. degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1992.[3]
Career
Lightvoet began her career in 1992 as a law clerk for the 9th Circuit Court in Kalamazoo County. The following year, she became a private practice lawyer. She worked in this capacity until her judicial election in 2006, becoming a law partner in 2001. She joined the circuit court bench at the beginning of 2007, following her election.[3]
2012 election
Lightvoet was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[4][5]
